Brad Pitt to play John Marston in Red Dead Redemption Movie?

bpcYou saw him as Aldo the Apache in Inglorious Basterds, he was JD in Thelma and Louise, and I don't need to list down all the other roles he's played over the years. But what would you say if Brad Pitt starred as John Marston in the Red Dead Redemption movie?

 

According to entertainment site ShowbizSpy, the celebrated Hollywood icon is being given first dibs on the project. "This is an exciting project with a great character at the center of it," said a source. "The idea is to make this in the style of an epic Western movie but with a few modern touches."

 

Rockstar Games, on the other hand, has already debunked this particular rumor as, well, a rumor.

if clint eastwood was pitts age. i would want clint play the role. but, pitt isnt a bad choice either.

I couldnt agree with you more better. clint would be a better role.yeah granted hes much older now but it would be nice. brad is ok. but if they made red dead the movie was in a more if-it-was modern western like then be nice for the role but clint was always known for his western movies n hard role play

Yeah, I'd hit that. There are few actors better at playing a badass than Brad Pitt.

They'd have to uglify him a bit though.

i think brad pitt could pull it off. plus maybe having him in the movie will mean that they're serious about it..unlike a certain fighting game movie that painfully repeated "the people's choice!!!" over and over :D

I like Brad, but I can't see him as John Marston. Just have have Rockstar make the movie like they did in the game (just smooth out the animations a little).

Yup!! he looks nothing like John Marston, What no scar. Also what about him being OLD, he looks to young.

John Marston was born in 1873, Spoiler sort of 1911.

I can See "EPIC fail".

There is no such thing of Originality these days.

They should just do a CG movie with better renders than the game along with the same actors. Movies like that would be the best way to do it. Same goes for an Uncharted movie.
