Bioshock novel gets launch date |

Wondering whatever happened to that Bioshock novel announced back in 2009? You can stop wondering about it now as it's been spotted over at Amazon with a release date listed for this year.
"Bioshock: Rapture" is written by John Shirley, featuring an introductory chapter by Ken Levine of Irrational Games. The novel will explore the backstory of Rapture, as how it was established by Andre Ryan.
The said cause for the prolonged delay of the book's release was that 2K games wanted to incorporate some more characters and plot points from Bioshock 2. For this to be accomplised, an additional 30,000 words had to be squeezed in, thereby causing the launch to be pushed back.
The delay's buck stops here now, fortunately, as it's now been listed to come out finally on March 1, 2011. Bioshock: Rapture is published by Tor Books, and will be avaialble in both hardcover and trade paperback format.
