BioShock: Infinite's Handyman introduced |

Irrational Concept Artist Rob Waters explained in their podcast that Handyman actually was originally intended to have giant mechanical crab claws. But because it didn't seem so practical for the game, it became an issue. "Levine's problem was a gameplay thing," he said. "Here's a classic case of a trailre causing one choice to be made which then has repercussions in the game, but it actually turns out to be a really good thing."
"The functionality problem was that claws are for grabbing, and not for pushing or punching. This guy's actual functionality was to punch. And that sort of evolved... By the time we'd done a prototype it was like, 'Well, this guy should grab, not punch.' You punch with fists. So he evolves again and he actually gets hands."
So how do you like Handyman so far? Don't worry, you'll have the chance to get to know him some more just as soon as it comes out in 2012 on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
