BioShock 2

BioShock 2 players have begun reporting issues in the game's multiplayer component that bring the experience to a screeching halt.

The freezing issues reportedly occur mostly during mid-game, but there have been reports of them cropping up at the post-game recap screen and the apartment hub section as well.

GamerNode also reports that there have even been instances where Xbox 360s show the three lights associated with the RROD, although there have been no confirmed reports of the game causing actual console bricks yet.

Most of the reports are from owners of the game's PC and Xbox 360 versions. 2K Games hasn't commented on these issues yet.

Hopefully 2K fixes things soon. Anybody here experiencing these issues?

If it's in the multiplayer component, I think Digital Extremes was responsible for developing that portion. They work a floor above my office, shall I knock on their door? lol

I've been reading so many bad things about this game. Mainly the PC version, apparently it's a pretty blah port. Crappy textures at high resolutions, crappy FOV, the mouse sucks?, and now this about freezing and multiplayer problems. 2K just f's everything they touch pc-wise don't they?

I have played Bioshock 2 from start to finish and I must say that it looked great. I had all settings on high. The only thing that I wished that 2k kept was the xbox 360 controller support. I had no problems playing with the keyboard and mouse. The textures were great and I never noticed any so called crappy textures.

If the 360 is showing the 3 red lights but the system still boots, it's not because of the game, it's because it's about to fail. That's what my first system did before it failed for about a week, and typically while playing graphically complicated games.

I was right at the end just about to give alex the plants and then it froze, I realised I hadn't saved so as the save screen was still working I saved it then. When loading the game it all worked fine but then the only thing that would work was movement! No health or eve went down but I couldn't attack or swap weapons or interact with the game at all except from start and select screens! Now have to play through the whole last level again!? Anyone know why this has happened? X

Just happened to me for the first time on bioshock 2 last night, I fought the big sister and a big daddy got in on it (I'm a lousy shot, lol) After collecting the big sisters adam I went to go take on the big daddy and froze mid drill dash. Luckily I'd saved right before the big sister encounter.

Just to be on the safe side, I turned on the "degrade visual quality for better framerate" option, hasn't happened since. The only other game to make this happen to my 360 was gears of war, and it hasn't happened on that game since I've installed it onto the HD through Games on Demand.
