Beyblade is an anime franchise about kids playing with tops, only these tops are more awesome than the average. They're magic, for one. No joke. Anyway, the latest video game in the franchise, Beyblade: Metal Fusion - Battle Fortress, comes to the U.S. next month in limited edition form.

The limited edition will include a full-length episode titled, “Merci’s Dangerous Trap” from the Beyblade: Metal Fusion animated series with art unique to the disc. The special DVD will be exclusive to the limited edition Beyblade: Metal Fusion - Battle Fortress from November 9 until January 10, 2011, or until supplies last.

Beyblade: Metal Fusion - Battle Fortress will be available at U.S. retail shelves starting November 9th. The DS version, Beyblade: Metal Fusion, will also hit stores that same day.

I remember these things, I remember buying the knockoff ones to get the double length rip-cord, man you could get some power into them. Used to practice a bit with them and got it down to precision where I could launch one and make it run about 10 meters across the ground and hit another, occasionaly causing the other to fly apart from the force I hit it with. Ahh good times. Then there were the full metal ones that were 2 - 3 times the size of a normal one, sharpen the edges on those and watch the fun happen. I reckon I still got them around somewhere...*runs off to relive some nostalgia*
