Soon, you can continue to play catch-up on all your missed TV series through BBC's newest version of it's iPlayer through your PlayStation 3. Yes, BBC's iPlayer 3 will indeed be heading off to Sony's console very soon.
The announcement was made by BBC's Simon Cross in an interview with Tech Radar. All they're waiting for now is the ironing out of some technical issues concerning the sign-in process. "We don't know whether to integrate it with PSN signing in process or do something new," he said.
iPlayer has been integrated to both the PS3 and the Wii for sometime now, but it has yet to be incorporated into the Xbox 360. Cross did express his hope, though, that they will one day be able to set an agreement with Microsoft regarding bringing the feature over to their console.

"In the United Kingdom and its Crown dependencies, any household watching or recording live television transmissions must purchase a television licence"
You don't need a licence to watch catch-up TV, only live content.

It would be nice if it had access to HD content and the fullscreen option needs to fill the whole screen.
