DICE and Electronic Arts have announced that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has sold over 2.3 million units since its launch earlier this month and is on pace to be the top-selling video game in March in North America and Europe. According to Karl Magnus Troedsson, Executive Producer, Battlefield Franchise:

We are so thrilled with the success of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sales and fan response. In the first 48 hours we had such a tremendous rush to multiplayer gameplay that our servers experienced overwhelming demand. This is a testament to the massive response players have had worldwide for the extraordinary action experienced in the Battlefield sandbox. DICE and EA have brought more servers online. We now have enough capacity to handle all BFBC2 connections seamlessly and we continue to monitor online play daily.

Along with the announcement, the publisher also revealed that a two new multiplayer maps for the game will be available on March 30 at no extra charge. These maps can be unlocked by inputting a VIP code included when you purchase the game.

Good news for EA, hopefully they can now focus on resolving some issues that is still present in the game.

Hopefully this means more and more BF games in the future and more exceptance instead of blind obedience toward COD being the supposed best game which is undoubtedly not. Good but not best.

Dice have always given an amazing MP experience, they are pioneers of this type of gameplay ( codename eagle ).
I could care less about Infinity Ward, they are stuck in the past with their games.

This game is ok but it's not great. I'm sure it's a lot better with a full squad of friends who actually communicate and work as a group but I don't think anyone on my friends list even has this game so I'm stuck playing with random people online. I'm selling mine back to amazon and that along with the $20 credit I received for preordering it means I got it for free so I can't complain too much :D
