Assassin's Creed: Ascendance comes out the same day as Brotherhood

Apparently, it's not just Brotherhood that's coming from the Assassin's Creed franchise tomorrow. The other one is called "Ascendance", and if you're a bit unsure of what it's all about, we don't blame you. After all, it's only now that Ubisoft's gotten around to explaining to us that it's actually an animated short story.

 

 

 

Said the publisher's official press statement, "Ascendance follows Assassin Ezio Auditore as he struggles to remove the treacherous Borgia family their papal throne. Ezio will learn the brutal truth behind Ceasere Borgia's rise to power to control Italy."

 

 

 

Apart from this animated short story, Ubisoft is also planning a comic book as well as a Facebook game to complete their trans-media marketing plan for the Assassin's Creed franchise.

I love Assassin's Creed, but honestly I think Ubisoft is taking all of this a little too far..

but id rather they overmarket the game, look at games like valkyria chronicles that games story was amazing and due to poor marketing and promotion not too many people played it

I don't really like their animation style. :sigh: Though Ubisoft seems to be good at storylines so that should still make it good. :-)

That last assasins creed game on the PSP really sucked dick.

I've never played the console proper ones, but I get they impression that they weren't much better except for nice graphics.
