csBlazBlue craze continues as Arc System Works announces that BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is getting a sequel. The thing is, this sequel has only been announced for the arcades so far. But since the first Continuum Shift title started out in the arcades before getting home console versions, we could be looking at another PS3-Xbox 360 release down the road.

The sequel enlists all of the characters added in the console versions of Continuum Shift, plus a number of unspecified balance fixes. Using the NESiCAxLive system, Arc Sytem Works will be able to patch the game as necessary. For the players, that means they'll get to access leaderboard stats and scores through their PCs or mobile phones.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II bangs into the arcades this winter in Japan.
