Normally, that info would already suffice as background, but the New York Post did some additional digging. They found that Aldawarsi likes Capcom's Resident Evil games, and that he spends some time watching gameplay videos of them through YouTube. As he posted on his blog, "Finished watching the Resident Evil Remake game on youtube today and I am glad to watch it because I like the Resident Evil games and this is not my first time to watch the gameplay on youtube," he wrote. "..in addition to Resident Evil Remake, I watched Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and I am now watching Resident Evil Code Veronica."
Investigations also yield that Aldawarsi supposedly intended to use dolls to conceal the explosives, and that he intended to carry a backpack full of them into a nightclub.

Whether or not Aldawarsi is a bomb plotter remains to be proven. He pleaded not guilty to the charges last Wednesday in a Texas federal court, but if found guilty, he could be facing a lifetime in prison plus a fine of US$ 250,000.
Sure, there is a link between weapons of mass destruction and Resident Evil, but making that incriminating correlation is just making video games look bad. The man could simply be interested because of his studies in chemical engineering, or he could be just another guy that loves games like the rest of us. Even if he is indeed a bomb plotter, so what if he likes video games?
Bomber or not, it is completely irrelevant that his passion for video games be mentioned at all.

how can he put gamers in a bad light for trying to bomb George W Bush?
In my book that puts us in a great bright and good light, people who actually care what happens to the world.
But thats my two cents, hope homeland security doesnt travel to europe just because i said that to get my a** arrested. only in the US! priceless. doesnt mean that there are not good people in the US thought

Anyway, "a lifetime in prison plus a fine of US$ 250,000".
If you're serving a lifetime in prison, why would you pay $250,000? You're in for life. Wut.

It's down to having arms. Think about it, they all have them. I've been googling for a while now for armless people, and the only ones that are terrorists are the dead ones.

Honestly, if someone has trouble taking a step back to properly evaluate what it is they're soaking in, then sucks to be them.
