A Saudi Arabian national is being accused of plotting to bomb former US president George W. Bush's home in Texas. What does this have to do with video games? Absolutely nothing. Still, that didn't stop The New York Post from including the alleged bomber's pastime in their report, putting gaming in a bad light yet again.

20-year-old Aldawarsi from Saudi Arabia is taking up chemical engineering at Lubbock's South Plains College. Authorities describe him to be a "Jihadist" and he's now facing charges for the attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. Aldawarsi came to the US in 2008 with a student's visa, but he allegedely took time to research a chemical-based, improvised explosive device (IED).
According to the Justice Department, Aldawarsi sent himself numerous emails which contained lists of possible targets - nuclear power plants, hydroelectric dams, and 12 reservoir dams located across California and Colorado. One alleged target was in an email with the subject "Tyrant's House" and contained the address of former president George W. Bush in Dallas, Texas.
So what does all this have anything to do with video games? Apparently, the most remote connection to gaming deserves some mention as soon as one commits a crime nowadays.

how can he put gamers in a bad light for trying to bomb George W Bush?
In my book that puts us in a great bright and good light, people who actually care what happens to the world.
But thats my two cents, hope homeland security doesnt travel to europe just because i said that to get my a** arrested. only in the US! priceless. doesnt mean that there are not good people in the US thought

Anyway, "a lifetime in prison plus a fine of US$ 250,000".
If you're serving a lifetime in prison, why would you pay $250,000? You're in for life. Wut.

It's down to having arms. Think about it, they all have them. I've been googling for a while now for armless people, and the only ones that are terrorists are the dead ones.

Honestly, if someone has trouble taking a step back to properly evaluate what it is they're soaking in, then sucks to be them.
