The first Alan Wake DLC, The Signal, is out now but apparently some people have been having trouble downloading it. Specifically, those who redeemed the DLC code packed with the game before The Signal's release.

Remedy knows your pain, and they have the medicine for it. Well, Microsoft, actually. According to Remedy, Microsoft will be sending out new DLC codes through email to those affected.

"If you've redeemed your code prior to release Microsoft will be sending out new codes to you via your email on XBL," says the company's Twitter account. As for when those codes will be sent out, Remedy didn't mention.

I talked with MS about this just this morning via 1-800-4-MYXBOX codes will be sent within 24-48HRS of the DLC's release. So most people will have it by the end of the day (July 27th). However if your code doesn't arrive by the 29th I was informed you should contact XBOX customer support and they'll have a technician sort it out.

Apparently if you delete the DLC video that you got when you redeemed your code early and then redownload the DLC through your Account Management Download History, then it works without requiring the new email code.

The Signal is phenomenal. It has to be one of the best pieces of downloadable content released on the 360. Really enjoyed it.
