Agent 47's voice actor outs next Hitman game

Rumors about Hitman 5 have been thrown around since last year but neither series developer IO Interactive nor new publisher Square Enix have said anything definite. Agent 47's voice actor, David Batson, on the other hand seems to have already outed the next installment -- ironically, by trying not to talk about it.

In an interview with The Gaming Liberty, Bateson revealed that the casting process has already started for "the next long awaited installment" in the franchise. Despite being Agent 47's voice for all of the past Hitman games, Bateson said that he had to audition this time around due to changes in Eidos' structure. Fans need not worry, though, as IO themselves have apparently assured Bateson that the part is his.

He further added that although he's still under contract and would have to plead the 5th regarding any inquiries about Hitman 5, it'll be "gob smacking", if the concept art IO showed him is anything to go by.

"I was in IO Interactive last year and was shown a “coffee table” book of the conceptual artwork for the latest game in the making," he said, "and I think I can safely (and legally) say, that it utterly blew my mind! The artwork alone would not look out of place in an upmarket fine art gallery. Say no more."
