22nd National Space Symposium Starts Today

22nd National Space Symposium
The 22nd National Space Symposium starts today, April 3 and will run through Thursday, April 6 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.

Space Foundation officials have announced record attendance figures for the event - they expect more than 7,000 people and 135 organizations and companies to participate.

Some of the speakers at the symposium include The Honorable Ken Calvert and The Honorable Mark Udall, Chairman and Ranking Member of the US House of Representative's Space and Aeronautics Sub-committee; Mr. Kaoru Mamiya of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency; and, Mr. Luo Ge, vice administrator of China National Space Administration.

There will be a number of awards given for space exploration, space achievement, technology in education, and most importantly, the General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award which will be given to Dr. Buzz Aldrin.
