The Jungle has been finally brought out into the wild. This is Panasonic's entry to the handheld gaming market, but what sets it apart from old-timers is that it caters exclusivley for online gaming and MMORPGs.

Sporting a full QWERTY keyboard and a touchpad, with d-pad and shoulder buttons, the Jungle promises to make your PC gaming more efficiently mobile. Finally, MMORPG gamers can enjoy sunshine out in the open and not just when they peer through their window blinds to check if their pizza delivery is there.

It's not necessarily ergonomical given its bulky design, but as long as it gets the job done, players shouldn't be complaining. A test gamer who was able to handle it at the recent PAX event said, "The screen resolution is bananas. Everyone was freaking out about it." Other features said to be in this package are the HDMI port as well as Wi-Fi. Still unconfirmed is that the gadget will be running on Linux OS.

There's still not a lot of info about Panasonic's jungle, but they did launch a website for it. Feel free to check it out through this link here.

it's yet to be seen how much this little gadget can support in terms of online gaming, but maybe it's worth a look when a model comes out in the market. hopefully panasonic's learned from their mistakes when they last ventured into the gaming market.

nice....well i think is worth to give it a try and see what this little guy can do...i remember panasonic releasing a gaming console in 1994,...actually...if i remember well..it was the first console to use cd´s... the 3DO... lol but it wasn´t really successful....i guess it was the price back then.

hmm it looks like a rather sad excuse for a Pandora clone - if its $300 or more I'd bet that noone will buy it. It my become quite popular but if you have to pay for the system and the games on it monthly it may carry too hefty a price tag.

If it officially supports homebrew like the Pandora then it could work, if not then it will fail hard.
