NDA be damned.

I played the beta for a brief time thanks to being a FilePlanet member. And I can safely say the game looks bad and plays worse.

It's one of the few games where it took longer to download and install than it did for me to play it and realize I needed to uninstall the abomination I unleashed onto my system.

Thankfully (once again NDA be damned), APB is a much better game and will happily occupy that same HD space when it comes out.

I'm in the beta also, but don't know what you're saying with it looking bad. Looked just fine for me, not as good as "Shift" but not horrible.

One thing I did have a problem with was it seemed to be to easy to lose the cops. Would have also been nice to not be instanced (you can play solo or with people during the races or events though). Just think about if your just driving around and someone in a police chase came flying past you with the cops close behind :D

Only took me about 20 min or so to download it, as for the playing being worse then the graphics it played just fine for me, no lag and the controls handled great with the 360 controller (after getting used to the stick being a little to sensitive).

Maybe something on your end affected it? Worked fine for me. :)

No, nothing was affected, and the game worked fine.

For me (and this is of course just my opinion) the game just didn't have a fun vibe to it. I'd much rather play Project Torque or Drift City (which are both free).

It seems to me that you have no flippin idea what the hell a Beta is. It's not a DEMO, It's a test build for ppl like you to play and report to the devs on flaws and suggestions for new ideas. You the player can help make the final game better, but looks like you were too slow to realize that.

Project Torque is still my favorite
