Tutorial: Vanguard's new player guide

We'll be taking a break from the recent server merge discussions that's been in circulation regarding Sony Online Entertainment and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes, to announce something a little more gameplay-centric.

The Vanguard site has just updated with a New Player Guide page, which should serve as a walkthrough for any newcomers to SOE's MMORPG.

The guide begins by advising players on giving their new alter-ego a proper name, race, and a corresponding job class - the guide provides for details on what each class does. The next steps include creating a character's appearance, and picking out the ideal diplomacy skills (flattery, reason, demand, and inspire, etc).

Post-character creation, you're whisked off to your corresponding territory, depending on your race. The guide also makes mention of the various tips the game will provide, as well as a rundown on the important icons players will want familiarize with on their HUD (like the map).
