The many ways to subscribe to Star Trek Online |

Cryptic Studios has laid out the many different ways Star trek fans can subscribe to the Star Trek Online MMO. Aside from a monthly subscription, there are also yearly and lifetime offers for those who pre-order the game.
A monthly subscription is US$ 15. You also have the option to pay US$ 42 for a three-month subscription and US$ 80 for six. Those who pre-order the game also have a choice between a discounted US$ 120 yearly subscription and a US$ 240 lifetime subscription.
The latter will last all throughout the MMO'slifespan and comes with a bonus playable race called the Liberated Borg as well as two additional character slots. Players can also get the additional character slots with the yearly sub. Here's more info on the bonus Borg race:
The Liberated Borg begins with the following two traits. You can select another two traits from a general list.
- Borg Nanites: +10% Health Regeneration
- Description: Ground Trait. Constantly regenerates shields and health.
- Efficient: +5 Starship Shield Efficiency, +5 Starship Engine Efficiency, +5 Starship Energy Weapon Efficiency, +5 Starship Auxiliary Systems Efficiency
- Description: Space Trait. Provides a bonus to efficiency stats, improving the effectiveness of many of your power management abilities.
The Liberated Borg also has a unique optional trait.
- Neural Blast: 30 second debuff. Drastically reduces run speed. Every 4 seconds, Neural Blast has a 40% chance to hold the target for 3 seconds.
- Description: Activatable Ground Trait. Inject the target with neural toxins, which continually attempt to hold the target for the duration. Also reduces the target's movement speed.
Star Trek Online is due out on February 2.

Well so far this game is getting a lot of negative reviews. That's what Cryptic gets for churning out MMOs in such short time periods. An MMO that will do well usually sits in developments for 3 or more years. They are hard to make.
