The rich lore behind Turbine Inc. and Codemasters' The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar is what keeps a lot of players coming back for more. A recent update on the LotRO lorebook focused on one of the key NPCs in the game: Dwalin, son of Fundin and brother of Balin.This stalwart dwarf was one of Thorin Oakenshield's companions on the Quest of Erebor. Dwalin was later sent on a quest by King Dain Ironfoot to inquire why the Master of Thorin's Hall has stopped sending tribute to Erebor. He soon discovered the evil dwarven clan of Dourhand had been trying to raise the evil lord Skorgrim.
Dwalin has since remained in ThorinÂ’s Hall defending the location from attacking Dourhand brigades and goblins. At this moment a series of unfortunate incidents have strained relations between the Dwarves of ThorinÂ’s Hall and the Elves of Duillond. Perhaps an adventurer (hint, hint) can go and see what's causing the problems between these two normally peaceful tribes.
