Lord of the Rings Online: the outpost of Ost Forod in focus

Some players consider the lore in Turbine Inc. and Codemasters' Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar just as important as the gameplay itself. Because of this, the developers have been spending time crafting the backstory for every location in the game. This practice has carried over into the recently featured area in the LotRO Lore book: Ost Forod.

Ever since rumors of lost treasure in Lake Evendim spread outt, many adventurers have come to the location in their bid for wealth and fame. As time went by, a town and trading post were established in the ruins of the Ost Forod fortress.

For some time they were happy scavenging for trinkets, hunting the great Harts of the North, and trading with the Snowmen of Forochel. Things are changing with various brigands and tomb-robbers throwing their lot in with the peaceful community.

If an adventurer (or better yet, a band of them) were to visit Ost Forod and help out the community, perhaps the outpost might know peace once again.
