At least one reviewer has given Auto Assault a grade of C, rating it 6.9 out of a possible 10. The reason has to do with the user base - which at the moment, is virtually non-existent. One may encounter another user once or twice in an hour depending where on the map one is playing. The further one advances, the more infrequently one encounters another player, and since there is a dearth of users at this time, it's difficult - if not impossible - to go on to the higher levels. Players you are likely to meet will most likely be available only for trade or chat (a global chat function allows one to send a message to all online users). It also has a tendency to hinder role playing.

This leads what others describe as a "fatal flaw" in the game's class system. Auto Assault was designed to have convoys of different users, each attempting his/her own mission, thus making a unique contribution. As an individual, its difficult to survive many battles. The best advice: play the Commando/Fighter class. Since Auto Assault is centered around killing everything in sight, it makes sense to develop Killing as a primary skill.

Despite this, most gamers find AA enjoyable on many levels. As word gets out and more gamers sign on,  AA may achieve its full potential as a top MMORPG.
