Early this month, it was confirmed that the closed beta will be coming soon after getting confirmation that the game will be revived. The APB servers were shut down September last year, much to the disappointment of its fans. The game was shut down because of the losses it's been suffering, and its failure to get a buyer for itself.
However, things turned for the better when in November, only about two months since it shut down, GamersFirst officially bought the rights of APB, now making this relaunch a reality. Hopes are high too that things could be turned around for this free-to-play MMO game.
Still no exact word on the closed beta will actually kick off, but it's been said that the devs are looking at a late February window, if all should go well.
