iPhone Weekend Warrior - Image 1

It's a rather skimpy update for this week, but at the very least it's a been entertaining. From ups and downs, saying yes and no, what's hot and what's not, who's in and who's out - gee, it reminds me so much of that Katy Perry song...

Cuz you're hot then you're cold...
  • So how do you deal with separation anxiety? Well, Steve Jobs may be temporarily on his extended leave (health reasons), but that doesn't mean he's out of the picture. He misses working so much, he's decided to bring work home! Link.
  • Apple's in a bit of a jam too because - I've lost count how many times this has happened in the industry already but what the hey, what goes around comes around - they've been sued for infringing on someone else's touchscreen patent. Link.
  • Good news: the latest iTunes is out. Link.
Staccato rollercoaster...
  • Well, it's invaded Facebook and MySpace already, but apparently that's not enough. Mafia Wars will be released as a standalone game on the iPhone and iPod Touch. Link.
  • And if you're feeling jittery with your fingers, Konami's going to bring their classic arcade shooter, Silent Scope, for both the iPhone and Touch. Glad to see these old great arcade games still have a place in the future! Link.
  • Eyes on the brew: latest version of gpSPhone is out. Link.
Short and sweet, huh? Well, going bite-size is also good sometimes too. You know what they say about having too much of a good thing, yeah? Yes, it's the death of me sometimes, I swear. See you around, guys! Next stop, the future!
