iPad sells 300,000 at day one |
Listed in: iPhone Tags: apple, sales, Steve Jobs
Last Sunday saw the launch of Apple's latest iThingy and with mixed receptions of vehement disgust and utter delight, it'd be interesting to see how those would translate into sales. Fortunately, the numbers are in and it's 300,000 for the iPad at day one.

Additionally, Apple reports that users have downloaded a million apps and 250,000 eBooks to use with their shiny new tablet. The iPad's launch was accompanied by more than 700 games, including Morita Shogi HD from Square Enix, Resident Evil 4 from Capcom, eight from Gameloft, and a whole bunch of other HD titles from various publishers.
"It feels great to have the iPad launched into the world - it's going to be a game changer," said Steve Jobs, Apple CEO. "iPad users, on average, downloaded more than three apps and close to one book within hours of unpacking their new iPad."
For now, only the Wi-Fi model of the iPad is available, with the 3G model coming later this month.

They assume if it costs more, it's better.
For example, you could use the money you use to buy a mac to buy an aleinware. Doesn't take a genius to realize which is better, but which sells more?

If it was a tablet PC, maybe it would be ok, but it's just a large screened iphone.
