Waves demo could come Monday, if...

Squid in a Box is a one-man development team with some sweet new offering for the arcades. It's a game called Waves, and it's about to make a huge splash in the gaming scene.

To describe it, it's something akin to the XBLA hit Geometry Wars. Now if you want to get your hands on the demo to try it out, there's actually a very big possibility of that happening. However, there is a condition that should be met first.

According to the dev, the playable demo, featuring the first few minutes of the game, could very well be on its way by Monday (today) IF he gets 1,000 followers on his Twitter page. In the words of the dev, the demo is a "buggy, unfinished balance and 100% Work-in-Progress game that hasn't even reached what I consider to be alpha yet."

Nonetheless, the video showcasing what it does so far makes the dev's statement only sound humble. Waves is developed with Epic Games' UDK engine. If you want to support this indie dev, then go ahead and follow him on Twitter. He's got the rest of the day to meet his requirement. As of this posting, there's only 129 followers listed in his account so far. Make your Following count.

Also, here's a video of Waves in action:

The power and effort of one-man-devs these days is almost better than having a team!

This truly excites me.
