StarCraft II sold a million at Day 1 - an impressive feat, though not as good as World of Warcraft in its debut. After selling half a million more in the next 24 hours, it became the fastest-selling RTS of all time. How'd the sales go in the succeeding weeks? Great, apparently. The numbers are in and StarCraft II has passed the three million mark in its first month in the market.
Blizzard didn't give the exact figures, but they're quite proud to report that the game has indeed gone over three million copies in sales since its release back in July 27th. Activision CEO Bobby Kotick is expecting US$ 500 million to a billion in profit for the game, so they're well on their way to meeting those numbers.
