Shogun 2: Total War renamed |

Creative Assembly's exercising their creativity by renaming Shogun 2's title. This decision was made in consideration of Sega's desire to have the series name to come first.
Shogun 2: Total War will therefore now be known as Total War: Shogun 2. It's not that creative, if you ask me, but it does drive home the point that it's a Total War installment. After all, the franchise spans over 10 years already, so it's but due to give it a bit more credit in the title.
Explained a spokesperson, "We wanted to identify all of these as one series using more obvious naming convention for players. Revealing the new title with the Shogun 2 box art was the opportune time to do so."
With this minor name-switcheroo, therefore, you can expect some more titles in the Total War series to come. Total War: Shogun 2, in the meantime, will be arriving on PC on March 15th.
