Game Informer's full Portal 2 feature won't be available until their April issue hits stands, but the mag has let a few details out of the bag.

One of the sequel's main features is a two-player co-op mode with its own campaign. This mode will feature two new playable characters. Speaking of characters, players will also encounter "surprising new characters" as brand new areas of Aperture Science Labs become available. And GLaDOS? It's in there somewhere too.

Portal 2 is currently set for a holiday release on Xbox 360 and PC.

Kudos to Shabbypenguin for the tip!

Disagree if you must, but I saw the co-op trailer... and to quote a comment "It was pretty weak." I do have faith in valve to make it work...

Holidays cant come soon enough, will be a very good game. I was hoping it would come bundled with EP3, but it looks like this will be a stand alone game.
But that's fine, the game will probably be three times longer than portal 1, and coop will be a nice touch.

I just hope it doesn't suck, that will ruin the original. Looking forward to it though.

# Black Mesa, anyone?Guest 2010-03-07 11:30
Wasn't Black Mesa working on their own portal technology? Maybe this game follows that.....it would certainly be cool to see the invasion while your teleporting. 8)
