Mac gaming fans now have a reason to rejoice! Portal 2 has been confirmed to be headed to Apple's hardware. This much is confirmed in this week's issue of Game Informer Magazine.

Apart from revealing the very first details of the game, the more eye-catching portion of the coverage would be on the platforms where the sequel will be headed to: Xbox 360, PC, and MAC!

Of course, this was already subtly teased by Valve some time last week. So, gear your Macs up and get ready for Portal 2.

We'll be keeping you up to speed on more juicy items for this one.

You waste money on the over priced PS3, then continue to pour more money down the drain BUYING A MAC JUST to play a game you can stand because its not deveoloped on the PS3. My god are you fucking retarded.

That was one of the most idiotic statements I've ever heard. The PS3 is definitely not over priced if not for the Blu Ray player alone. Also with the built-in wireless, inclusion of wireless, rechargeable batteries, free online.
Also, I bet you money that he/she is getting a Mac for more reason than just to play Portal. He/she might just be tired of viruses or unexpected crashes or something of the like.
Either way, try not to be so negative and rude next time just because of someone's choices. It's ultimately none of your business.

yup that's true, i'm not getting the mac for the game, i need it for my music class, from what i said i meant that at least i can buy a game for the mac, as in i don't actually play PC games, plus pc i have is a Windows 98', something tells me that i should upgrade, and the ps3 was a gift, lol

1. PS3 was a gift (I like sony so what?)
2. I like the games HL 1&2, Portal, just hate their choice in throwing away some money to a easy to hack console.
3. STFU when you misread something, the Mac I want to buy is for actual School studies (Audio Production), plus i have a Windows 98', as if you can play good games on a 256 ram CPU.
and what's with the sudden parent talk???

Nice to see OS X being supported by more and more games nowadays.

Still, I just boot my Mac Pro into Windows 7 and play all Games for Windows on it anyway.

(Contrary to popular belief, Mac's can use ANY Windows graphic cards when booted in Windows)

Maybe this is more evidence that Steam is headed to OSX.

Portal 1 was so "great" that I never finished it.... big deal it's not coming to PS3. Valve miscalculated and no way will buy some substandard software from them!

That's so weird! Why would they develop it for mac, but not PS3? that makes no fucking sense!

There's WAY more PS3 users who'll play this than mac!
