In Warcraft III, the Demon Hunter is a swift, mana-burning melee fighter that can transform into a beast with ranged attacks. In Diablo III, the Demon Hunters will be multi-talented archers of sorts. They're good with bows, but they'll have other potent tricks up their sleeves as well. Watch one of them at work, both in cutscene and in gameplay.
Blizzard devs describe the Demon Hunter as the combination of the Assassin and Amazon classes. They can equip up to two crossbows, lay traps, throw grenades, and even retain the Amazon's "Multi-Shot" skill from Diablo II.
