DRM-equipped Ubisoft games removed from Steam UK |

Ubisoft's new DRM system has been under fire lately. In what looks like the latest development in the debacle, Ubisoft titles that come with the new DRM system have been removed from the Steam service in the UK.
The publisher says the removal is merely due to "a local business discussion between Ubisoft and Steam in UK", but according to CVG a PC games industry insider says otherwise.
"It's the latest in the Ubisoft DRM blow-up," the source said. "Steam doesn't want to lose its reputation for customer service, and these games have angered its user-base."
The games -- Assassin's Creed 2 and Silent Hunter V -- are still available on the US Steam site, however.
Ubisoft's controversial new DRM system requires players to have a constant internet connection even while playing single-player campaigns.

They Love this type of control here, Im shocked. I would've found it more believable if they said the police were going around everybodies houses to check all their games to make sure they're all legit copies.
Must be an early april fools joke.

Sadly, this isn't the case for any CNC4 user, EA is still using that DRM...

I'm never away from an internet connection, even in my car so I support Ubisoft's DRM 100% and hope they find a way to stop PC piracy, or at least cut it in half.
