Much has been said about how expensive a PC needed to be in order to run the original Cyris at max settings. Crytek is making part two even bigger, but that apparently doesn't apply to the game's system requirements.

During his keynote speech at the India Game Developer Summit 2010, Crytek's Carl Jones revealed that Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements but will still look better than the original. No need to sell off one of your organs just to afford a suitable PC.

Crysis 2 is expected to launch later this year on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Great news. Perhaps the multiplatform release has something to do with it?

This is the future right here!
Instead of creating more powerful hardwares we will see smarter softwares! This will make the games more affordable in terms och computer units and electricity. We cant keep relying on more horse power if the wheels are square shaped. ;-)

I would be happy just knowing that Crysis 2 has the same system requirements as Crysis 1 I wouldn't need to buy anything just to play the game. ^_^
