3D Realms: Duke isn't dead, he's going casual |

Duke Nukem Forever may not have made a record-setting 12th appearance on Wired's vaporware list this year due to the rather ugly legal disputes that surrounded it, 3D Realms is still saying it isn't dead. As far as the whole franchise goes, apparently they're thinking of going the casual route.
In an interview published in the first print issue of Gamesauce, CEO Scott Miller said that the fact they already let go of the internal team working on Forever doesn't correlate to the demise of the project.
"We've never said that Duke Nukem Forever has ceased development," said Miller, who also claimed that we'll see a resurgence in the franchise in the next few years:
The next few years should see a strong resurgence in Duke. There are numerous other Duke games in various stages of development, several due out this year. We are definitely looking to bring Duke into casual gaming spaces, plus there are other major Duke games in production.
Miller explained that almost all of those "other major Duke games" remain unannounced, although we have heard of a couple of iPhone games and Duke Nukem Trilogy for the DS and PSP handhelds.
