Zune Hooking Up with the Xbox 360?

ZuneI know we said Microsoft's Argo...er...Zune will not have support for games, but the newest rumors about the supposed iPod killer say that you can hook up the device into your 360s.

Unfortunately, it won't be for gaming purposes - it's more likely for music integration.

Apple's iPod is able to share music with Microsoft's console through a USB cable, and since this is the "killer," it's going to be able to do the same. It's just speculation, but if this device is really going head-to-head with the iPod, it's got to be able to do the same - or do better.

And it might do better considering that there are incompatibility issues with iTunes-bought files. Music bought from Microsoft stores will probably not have the same problem, especially because such bought music will be sponsored alongside Zune.

Here's also another rumor to feed this iPod killer frenzy: there might be an iPod Nano competitor in the works too. Dubbed as "Pixas," this device is said to feature video support like that used in high-end iPods. It's also possible that it can be hooked up to the Xbox 360, allowing you to watch videos on the console.

All these are still rumors as Microsoft has not yet confirmed or denied any of them. But it would be so great if some new device that will give us options would enter the market soon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed until then.

I think it will play all the arcade games on xbox live, its perfect for it

and it will link up with xbox360 so if you unlock an achievement or get a new score on the ZUNE it will update it on the 360 aswell

sounds like ur onto something, but if this really is a pic of it, it wouldnt be possible to play the XBLA game on a touch wheel and 2-3 buttons. maybe a controller port? nah thatd be lame.

Yeah hopefuly that isnt a pic of it then, It does look nice but if Microsoft want it to be an Ipod "Killer" then imo it has to play games

At E3 Microsoft showd how mobiles are going to connect to Live and play games and stuff, I hope they do the same with the "Zune"

im guessing it will connect to the 360 via wireless, just like the 360's controllers.

I said this before and i'll say it again, this is just another of micro$oft's marketing strategy to take over every industry there is.

nice mani....but doesn't every company want to take over any market they can...so microsoft isn't bad by try. Yeah and to the other people i think they will just allow homebrew because they saw the psp community grow from it and alot of ipod owners (like myself) tryed to hack into their ipods so if microsoft was smart they would just allow it from the start just like they are allowing homebrew on the 360. And i to think that they will somehow let you download games for it from xbox live market place or something. not they same games you've downloaded for your 360 but sort of the same games for your Zune......that sounds stupid..zune...o well those are just my thoughs hope you all agree...some what
