Watch Toshiba's HD-DVD Super Bowl ad

HD-DVD fans who were too busy watching movies on their favorite movie player might have missed the Super Bowl. Luckily, Bandersnatch over on YouTube managed to put up a video of Toshiba's HD-DVD advert for the Super Bowl.

As most of the HD-DVD proponents can probably guess, the video's main draw is that it advertises the low prices of HD-DVD players. Whether or not it was effective during the Super Bowl remains to be seen, but the effort expended in making an add for primetime game time should definitely be appreciated by adherents to the currently-beleaguered high-def format.

Does it feel like Toshiba is trying to sell everything they have in order to save themselves?



I don't know about anyone else, but I'd just like the "format wars" to be over. It's been long enough and we need just one standard now.
