Get a US$ 100 gift card for buying a Blu-ray player, including the PS3 - Image 1

If you missed out on Wal-Mart's "PS3 plus US$ 100 gift card" deal last week, you have a second shot at it. Wal-Mart corporate recently confirmed that Wal-mart stores will be giving out US$ 100 gift cards this week with the purchase of any Blu-ray player... including the PlayStation 3.

Here's what Melissa O'Brien, a spokeswoman for Wal-Mart, told Joystiq earlier after asking about the MGS4 bundle: "Any Blu-ray player. Blu-ray. All of them." The US$ 100 gift card deal is available online and in stores too, so you can choose your method of purchase easily.

This latest offer appears to only be good until June 15, so you may want to wait patiently for June 12 to roll by and then grab the MGS4 bundle to get the best value for your money.

» I wonder if this work for Canada's Walmart too...

if not then too bad... Not like I am dying to have one but a BR player with $100 back would be cool.. but then whey settle for any BR player when you can get a PS3 instead ;)

» The Wal Mart discount

I got the Wal Mart discount on my PS3, although it wasn't "official."

I bought a broken 60gb PS3 on ebay for $330.00. I cleaned it up, removed the serial number sticker and scanned it. I altered the numbers (and barcode!) to match the one on a $499 60gb PS3 I bought from Wal Mart when they were being discontinued. Put everything back in the box, good as new with the broken PS3 having the new one's serial number sticker. Went into Wal Mart, returned that mo-fo and guess what? $499 + tax refund! Total new PS3 cost, $330.00 with shipping.
