USITC to probe Sony, others on patent infringement issues |
Ó
Sony, Matsushita, and Toshiba are among some 30 companies that will be facing an investigation by the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) on possible patent infringement issues.According to a news release from the commission, the products involved in the investigation are short-wavelength LEDs and laser diodes used in hand-held mobile devices, instrument panels, billboards, traffic lights, high-def DVD players, Blu-ray disc players, and data storage devices.
The investigation comes after a complaint made by Hartsdale, NY, resident Gertrude Neumark Rothschild. Rothschild's complaint alleges that the aforementioned products infringe on a patent she owns. She is currently seeking to block the products' importation into the U.S.

Yet another person from the States on the Patent infrigment wagon, how suspiciously unsuprising..
Reform the Patent system already!
very interesting, i have notice that almost all of the company are in asia. this is so stupid, it like saying hey let make a car with no WHEEL. just because someone patent it.
now i believe that NA economy is really hurting that bad.
they stoop so low as to use a stupid broken system to extort money from companies from other countries.
my my how the wheels are turning so is the color of the bones and skin.
god how stupid have people become (this woman specific). can any one spell frivolous lawsuit (i can't but i barely passed english). this is about as stupid as sueing McDonalds because they didn't put enough salt on your fries (hmm if she wins then thats what i will do)
