This post has nothing to do with the xbox 360, how bout that? for relevancy. Sure it may get an add on for hd-dvd movies one day but not if it is this big and bulky. This is not relevant to the xbox 360 at all.

# HD or Blu Ray Movies will be betterGuest 2006-04-16 15:29
All Hollywood Movies that are on film, and the copy id taken from the original 24p FILM, will be much better on HD DVD and Blu Ray then DVD is, if they take the movie from a DVD source, it will be no better, if you ever watched an older Hollywood film in HD you will see the difference right away.

A COMPANY TRYING TO MAKE MORE MONEY??? NEVER!

...on another note their doing it so you can watch high res movies. (1080p and 720p as oposed to 480i and 576i, thats 720x480 for ntsc and 720x576 for pal dvds, and HD/Blu ray being 1280x720 and 1920x1080) watching movies in these significantly higher res will make it much more enjoyable

there aint any hdtv transmissions in the UK yet unfortunately, but the HD quicktime trailers and trailers from xbox live iv played on my hdtv look awesome... im looking forward to the new formats... i wont be paying loads for a player tho... no no no, if ps3 ever comes out (delayed to 2007 now... in 2007 it will be delayed to 2008!) then il have me a blu ray player... but as for a stand alone player... they can get screwed untill the players cost about £150 or lower...

ps... u only just got your first dvd player.... have you been living under a rock or something? why so late? players have cost like £25 each for the past year or 2, and ps2 and xbox play them, not to mention the 360... just crappyly

tv broadcasts arent amazing yet, but I try to watch as often as possible to get my tv's oney's worth, glad to see you get them in the U.K. otherwise whats the point of the tv's there, also the ps3 is going to cost 599 euros, so your going to get raped on that blue ray player, no matter what the conversion to pounds. the gig of ram is to cache the movie in advvance since it has so much information
