Scientists reveal that mobile handsets are killing bees |
Ó
They're tireless, they're noisy, and they're always in a bad mood. If you hate bees, whip out your mobile phone and start using it like mad. New studies show that the most potent weapon against bees may be your handset. In recent years, scientists have documented a phenomenon known as CCD or Colony Collapse Disorder. This happens when a bee hive is abruptly abandoned by members of the swarm for reasons previously unknown. The disappearance of workers and drones leaves a hive defenseless against predators. The food supply is also cut, so if bears and rival hives don't finish off the queen, hunger will.
Scientists now have a theory that may help explain why CCD happens. They say that it's quite possible that the radiation emanating from mobile handsets interferes with the guidance systems of bees. When that happens, they are rendered unable to go back home and they die off far from the nest.
People may not care about the fortunes of such insects, but they better start to. Bees are, in large part, responsible to the pollination of crops. If they are absent, fertilization among plants is hard-pressed to take place. That means the agricultural sector will take a nose dive, creating economic impacts and food shortage.
The CCD phenomenon has been reported in the U.S. west coast, The United Kingdom and Europe. Significant death tolls to hives have been reported, averaging 40 percent of hives abandoned per beekeeping facility.
Aside from environmental concerns, cellular phones have also been reported to cause brain tumors and neuron death. Neurons are essentially brain cells. Symptoms include premature memory loss in a matter of years. Medical experts fear that today's teens may be senile by the time they hit 30.

Lol! Thats right bees!
*Whips out cellular*
*throws phone near a bee hive*
HAHAHA WHO WINS NOW?!
I hate bees. So much.
I almost don't know if i should care about this or not.
You guys are ignorant and don't deserve to live on the same planet as bees or any other living creature...
after posting that comment, neither do you
Any intelligent person would be very concerned about the disapearance of the honey bee. They are very inportant to the existance of our food supply.
I won't dispute the fact the radiation from electronic device's would screw up the bee's navigational system but they are leaving out some vital information.
First, all the abandoned Bee Hives have some sort of poison or bacteria inside that keeps all...and I do mean all insects away from the hive. The only way people were able to clear this deadly stuff from the hive was to open it up and let it air out for 2 to 3 days.
Second, over 80 percent of these hive's are near no cell towers and no cell phones.
Last, the scientists that did some research only said it was a partially disrupting the bee's ability to navigate, mainly among those bee's who have not explored it's given surroundings. The main thing they were researching was not the cell phone's electrical output. It was something they noticed on the side that had some impact, but not a huge impact that would cause this sort of death on a high scale.
i was just gonna say that. Imagine this, without bees we might never find a cure to a disease, let alone, eat!
that there is a way to improve cell phones drastically?
We, human beings can't save our one and only planet, but we are destroying it. Now, in this valuable period of time help the Supreme Father, Supreme Soul, God to estabish pure world, new kingdom of heaven (on earth), new golden age. For this, remember that you are the soul-point of light and remember the Purifier Father, God alone (also Point of Light) because we have to leave our impure bodies (created through vice of lust) and this old, impure word. Destruction is in front of us, save yourselves!
You should care, without them pollinating the plants we will eventually not have any food growing, Einstein said that without the bees man would be extinct in 4 years! Think about it.
Many things will soon be determined to have serious detrimental effects to our planet - including us people, not just bees. Whatever short term profits to corporations that led to these toxic items being spread across our planet will look like peanuts compared to the countless billions and trilions of dollars damage that will be tallied up over the next few decades. Some of these damages will be almost irreversable at any cost. The corporate executives who allow these events to be produced by their companies will suffer too. Their children and grandchildren will suffer, and, despite all the money they may have pocketed over the years, it will not be enough to cure or save their sick relatives. There will soon be a new perspectic toward our planet that no longer tolerates its destruction in the name of profits. Time we begin to stand up for this idea.
