SanDisk 4GB MS Pro Duo for US$ 47 - Image 1

If you're hunting for a new memory stick and by any chance missed the last deal we covered, don't worry because here's another one: Online retail store Buy.com is currently offering SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for just US$ 56.99.

First, the above mentioned memory stick comes bundled with SanDisk MicroMate reader - an adaptor allowing the memory stick to be used in full size MS slots. Then, and we're pretty sure you are all familiar with this one, Google will slash down the price even more if you purchase the product through its Checkout service.

The said service will effectively bring the total price to just US$ 46.99. Buy.com mentioned that the item will ship for free so no need to worry about hidden charges or something. If you want to know more, the Read link below will take you to the site's product page.

After getting two fakes on eBay (and being refunded both times as well as having to send on back since they paid for shipping) I no longer care to buy any memory sticks there.

As far as being a good deal there will be better but I missed the other recent deals so I jumped on this one. Besides, Sandisk are better then Lexar so I feel it is worth the extra cash.

It's not just having a 4GB card maxed to actual 4GB that makes it real. The transfer speeds from PC to memory card are annoyingly slow on these fakes being sold on eBay.

In England, if you buy it in a shop like GAME a 4GB stick would be £50. POUNDS. Not dollars. So unfair. :(

dsi is correct even though it can hold 4gb or close to it doesnt mean its real. I got one thst broke in a month and it was 4gb and it also did support magicgate technology even though it said it. There are also a brand called ScanDisk lol

the 4gb Lexar for $39.99 (Free Ship) and the 2gb Lexar for $14.99 (Free Ship) off of frys.com, and I am surprised how well the Lexar brand compares to the Sandisk/Sony sticks. The load times are the same if not a little faster, and they load all isos, se plugins, etc...no problems. Lexar is not crap! They are cheaper...and have a lifetime warranty :)

I got one from there and it was slow as Hell. I was able to return it (lucky me) but then I got another one that was 4gb and was marked as High speed, it didn't have sony logo but it was the brown colored with gold font. and it work like a charm. search for it and you'll find it.

# Bloody Australia!Guest 2007-06-06 21:29
Went on amazon.com last night and decided to finally get a Sandisk 4Gb Pro Duo while buying some other goodies and it would have cost me US$70 which works out at the moment to be AU$85. Expensive you might say but down under at the sphincter of the universe the cheapest ive seen a Sandisk 1Gb Pro Duo is AU$70-80, 4Gb is AU$230.

Ok, so i should be glad with the purchase right? Wrong, apparently Australian customs bans some electronic goods from overseas for some stupid reason, oh and Airsoft too!!!

It's a flamin' outrage it is! But hey, at least we wont get nuked in WW3.

I bought a 4GB Sony MSX-M4GN for 38€ without shipping costs directly form China by eBay. No complains, all Isos and seplugins are working, and the test results from Memory stick tester shows results from a real stick. So I think it's not a fake.

# 2 4gb or 1 8Gb?Guest 2007-06-07 06:46
I will NEVER buy a Mem stick from ebay again.I bought 2 4 GB off ebay for $130 last week and they ended up being fake (1 didn't work,the other only had 2 GB).I got so pissed, I went ahead and ordered myself a 8 Gb for $200 from Crutchfield.com. Does a 8GB stick have more "usable memory" than 2 4 GB sticks?

8gb = 7.35gb useable

4gb = 3.76gb useable

So I guess you get a little more out of the 4gb's.

I've heard the blue (solid blue, not transparent blue)SanDisks are troublesome and slower than the transparent red ones.. which useually cost $10-20 more.. I'm waiting to find a transred one for under $50.

I also got a 4gb blue SanDisk fake off ebay, beware.

# oh yeah..Guest 2007-06-07 10:27
I think I'd rather have (4) 4gb cards for the price of (1) 8gb card. $200 is way too pricey. Geez, that's more than a new PSP costs.

That's exactly why he's complaining... he's saying that if you factor in conversion rates, this is half of what he has to pay to get one in a shop.
