In this case, you'll want to remember that TGS stands for Take [with] Grain of Salt as well as the Tokyo Game Show, because none of the following information has currently been confirmed as true. According to representatives at the website PS3Land, due to an anonymous source they have come across a list of the games that are going to be shown at the upcoming TGS and they were nice enough to give that information to the world.
PS3Land writers claim that the source is a Sony employee who wants to remain anonymous in order to avoid being fired. Many of the titles were expected, but as many were unannounced at E3 there are new names as well. Being that this is the Tokyo Game Show, the emphasis is on Asian developers and companies. While big name games aimed at American audiences are not likely to be featured here, there are many noteworthy games expected and the show is not to be missed if you happen to be in the area!

Killzone 3??
Where's Killzone 2?
Oh please this list is ridiculous half of these games don't even, hell they should have added Halo4 for the Ps3 andPro Evolution referee 4 (with the Zidane cheat code of course). Altho I have to admit they gave me a reason to wait for the TGS, to see Sony fanboys on their knees crying at another CG movie of Killzone2 and the yet to be shown final hardware for the Ps3 ;)
They keep saying Killzone 3 for some reason. even at E3 speculation(or leak or something) they had that name.
if it IS true, this is AMAZING
if it's not...I've just been disappointed:'(
this is clearly just made up crap. could you make up your own tgs list and make it slightly less ridiculous? i mean, perhaps a bit of killzone 2, some devil may cry? some res evil even... but stupid suggestions like killzone 3 naturally put this in the 'crap' pile.
come on chris c or whoever you are, make a tgs list we can truly discuss and hopefully get excited about, not just skeptical.
I have talked to the lead testers of killzone PS3 and they are refering to it as Killzone 3 because killzone: Liberation is suppose to be Killzone 2......SO that is why its killzone 3......

***** YA!!! ZOE 3! HELLS YEAH, I've been waiting, wishing, hoping for this. *cough cough* now that I have gotten that out of me... I beleive this list is plausible, all these titles have been talked about recently or since e3 last year. So lets see what happens, i hope they have demos for all of them.

Which means the average for those games is at the fourth incarnation of each series. And this doesn't take into account games such as GTA which have numerous titles under one sequal number (ie. GTA 3, LC/VC/SA/LCS/VCS).
Wake me when they come up with something original.
im happy to say that. ZOE was good but the rpg style inbetween missions was horrible, ZOE 2 was awsome but a lil short, but awsome. Devil May Cry is the same, the controls in the first one made you cry, while in 2, Dante's mellodrama personality made you cry, and 3 was hard but kicked ass, Final fantasy, for every new console its released on it gets 10 times better (though i still love the jap 3 for nes). To say that does not include the ps2's x and x-2. Those werent up to par. 12 and 13 look great though. Resident evil, it lost its touch on the ps1, #2 was best beside the dreamcasts code veronica back then, 4 revamped everything and its a reason to get a GC now. I can go on but i think you get my point. Instead of like in the movies where they use a *****ty story to push more money out our pockets, sequels to video games are 9 times out of 10 better than there previous incarnets with finner tuned engines, more ***** to get and use, new moves, characters, and hell sometimes even a better story.

But Nintendo can come out with Mario rehash after Mario rehash, and Microsoft can come out with Halo after Halo...

Anyway, I heard from Capcom a while back that DMC 4 would be playable the next time it's shown, and they announced it would be at TGS..
Sony needs to drop the bombs at TGS.
I'm not hating on Sony for this. I'm hating on the developers for this. It was exactly the same with the 360 release. And will be the similar, but hopefully a bit less significant, for the Wii.
You can't tell me that you can look at that list and not be disgusted at the developers lack of originality involved. Most game companies don't want to take a risk so they just feed us the same old crap with shinier graphics.
If they want us to spend $500-$600 on a new console, there must be a reason to spend that amount of cash, and for me sequels just don't cut it.
You are 100% correct that Sony needs to drop the bomb at TGS. Lets see some major new IP's. It's good to see that the 360 has a bunch of promising games coming up such as Gears of War, Mass Effect, Viva Pinata, Too Human, Bioshock etc. It's now convinced me to buy one come the first price drop for the console.

zone of the enders 3? another impossible title, hideo kojima is already working on MGS4! and ZOE are signed hideo kojima in case you didn't know.

man you don't know what you are talking about, you say you only buy new titles? what is wrong with you? you think final fantasys are sequels? I suppose you never played one right? final fantasy have only one thing in common, they are RPGs with a great story, that's all, no other link, not even the combat system nor the characters nor the world they live in nor the story, nothing... and personally I think a trilogy should at least be finished don't you think? I'm talking about MGS4 right now! I said a trilogy because there is 3 games ( 1, 2, 4 ), the third one is in the past with BIG BOSS, and I WANT to know to end ( like pirtates of the carribean if you saw the second... lol ). Anyway I'm not saying new stuff is bad, I'm saying sequels are not always related ( like final fantasy ) and are not always about the same story ( no sequels use the same story exemple: gta, GTA use the same kind of games so if this is a real sequel I suppose you don't watch movie because movies are all sequels, think about it, all horror movie have the same kind of story, the same kind of ending, the same kind of plot...
So sequels are not that bad at ALL, to tell you the truth I love them, I suppose if a game as a sequel it's because it worked well and people wanna know more about it don't you think? I mean you said: Gears of War, Mass Effect, Viva Pinata, Too Human, Bioshock.... I suppose you think shooters are cool? shooters will always have new shooter, so what, anyway they're all the same, you shoot ennemies with the mouse ( or controller ) and move with the keyboard ( or ctrlr ), you find more weapons on the quest and you can even have some special ability like jumping and other stuff like that. To tell you the truth I like shooters and I don't think they all are the same at all even after what I said because a sequel is only a use of a name or a gameplay style, or a chatacter, so shut up and enjoy the games before thinking: "oh my god I already played a game where you have to shoot ennemies, I shouldn't play this shooter then, I shouldn't play shooters at all, I shot one time, that's enough for me, anyway I only play one time a year so I should use my time better". And stop posting this kind of crap...
i completely agree with senjutsu here. There is nothing wrong with sequals so longs the developer takes the games in a different direction, introducing new storylines, characters, weapons etc. Sequals are there because people obviously enjoyed the games before them. Resident Evil is a great example. People loved the first, so they brought a second/third/fourth plus the outbreak games and code veronica. The whole purpose is to build up on the original story, to expand and what has and hasn't happened. Look at Star Wars films, there's 6 of them, but all 6 films complete a bigger story.
You point out the GTA series as a series with vast numbers of sequals, yet the GTA games aren't really sequals. Each game has different characters, with different missions to do, weapons to gain, vehicles to control and areas to explore. Infact, the only real constant in the series are its name and the way the gameplay is set out.
So not all sequals are bad and it doesnt show a lack of ideas from developers, you wouldn't believe how hard it is to actually plan out a "sequal" to a game, to try and introduce new storylines that go inline with the previous one and to introduce new characters that people will enjoy (anyone remember the fuss made about Raiden in MGS??). Plus, there are alot of original titles being prepared for ps3 (fatal inertia, motorstorn, assassin creed, the wall, heavenly sword, resistance fall of man, killing day, dark watch, possession, the darkness, the outsider and more in development) so there should be plenty to keep you happy.
Oh and back on topic, i think that list is very believable, one or two would be a huge suprise if they did make it, but the likes of resident evil 5, devil may cry 4, Silent Hill 5. infact, the only ones that seem far fetched are gta 4 and god of war 3, but the rest are believable, as most of those developers have been quoted as saying playable versions will be at tgs.
well, onimusha 5 seems pretty far fetched, too, since there wasn't an onimusha 4 (Dawn of Dreams is just a sidekick and doesn't count as a real onimusha)

re: Onimusha 5, bear in mind, that Dawn of Dreams WAS the 4th Onimusha game, so it's not unlikely that PS3 Onimusha is being called "5" internally at Capcom..
As for a long time ahead of release, look at the preview of DMC4? at E3 LAST YEAR!
it has been confirmed for 3 months now that th next battlefiled title will be named battlefield 2142
and also there is going to be an open beta at begining of aguest for pc i think u should clarify
Freakin bring it!!!!! I hope this is true. Zone of the Enders 2 was one of my favorites on the PS2. It's about time for another and I hope they make a PSP version as well, as long as it's good.

It says Killzone 3 because of how there is a new Killzone game thats coming out soon for PSP. When they showe the new killzone game trailer it didn't say whether its killzone 2 or not, so it could possibly be Killzone3.
As for the sneak peak of God of War 3, I don't see how thats possible. GOD2 didn't even comeout yet, so don't you think that if they showed GOD3 it might have spoilers that will ruin GOD2's story? Still I'm sure Sony is going to show alot of stuff, seeing how its close to the PS3 launch date, but it still makes me look forward to TGS.
