You can get a top of the line gaming computer for that, 3 times the graphics of the PS3, way more games, way better games. This article is quite pointless.
You forgot about the wealthy fanboys that must own everyting $ony. They can overlook the price, disappointing game linup, and the fact many PCs and the XBOX 360 have more advanced and versatile processing power. Oh wait they can't play Blu Ray movies, but that movie format will fail like UMDs in 3-4 years.
Like it says in the article you can just get an HDTV new (new HDTV have no problems with PS3 resolution unless you try and find some wierd one). So unless your rich and insane just get a nice TV.
ORRRrrrrrr... you can just wait for the update that Sony is working at the moment that will fix this problem.

LOL 1,500 bucks huh? I dont guess you guys can talk about our 250 dollar HD DVD drive anymore when you need a 1,500 dollar add on just to play in 1080. Sony sucks, get a 360...
however you fail to mention that this was not made for the PS3, but rather can be used in conjunction with it.

If the PSP has taught us anything, $ony's firmware update will not add anything useful, just more security (for $ony's profits.) They even said while possible they are not working on it now. They're too busy finding companies to sue.
Viet does offer a good point though, sony does suck. lol
You guys are idiots. This is NOT required for the PS3. This is only for those that don't want to buy a 1080p TV and can use it to convert to 1080p. Why the hell is this even a blog? It has nothing to do with the PS3. Especially when you can buy a 1080p for the same price...
