It's not the cutest cell phone accessory around, but you have to admit, you'd be hard pressed to find a cell phone accessory that's as useful and practical. Or environmentally friendly for that matter.
The accessory-gadget can also be plugged into your everyday wall socket to store up energy which you can later use to charge up your phone. Extremely useful when the sun is playing peek-a-boo.
The solar charger is manufactured by Strap-Ya and will be released in Japan this month for JPY 1,900 (US$ 18). A similar device was released by Solar-fine before but this one looks a bit more compact and portable.
