Wild Things on Blu-ray - Image 1Whether you liked the recent Harry Potter movie or not (EXPELLIARMUS!), the incoming Blu-ray releases are charming us with their very own kind of magic.

This week's line-up is a bit of a mixed potion of sorts, from sci-fi to comedy, from crime to mystery, and some rather... wild... things sandwiched in between.

Blu-ray movies to be released on July 17, 2007 include:
  • The Fifth Element - Remastered (Sony Pictures)
  • Premonition (Sony Pictures)
  • Waiting... - Unrated and Raw (Lionsgate Films)
  • Wild Things: Unrated Edition (Sony Pictures)
Yeah, quite a few of us might have some fond(?) memories of Wild Things, and while we're sure a lot of you have a thing or two to say about it, we'd rather keep our sentiments to ourselves.

Another eye-catcher would be Milla Jovovich, ahem, we mean The Fifth Element. To some, it might be the worst movie ever, but others (myself included) would consider it a cult classic - or at least, the opera scene was. Enchanting, really. The kind of "enchanting" that Dolores Umbridge can only imagine to be.

» oooo Wild Things

So, whats different about the un-rated version? I mean the rated version was already pretty spicy.

I remember watching Wild Things just for the lesbian scene. Other than that, it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen(Crossroads you have a contender!).

The Fifth Element is an awesome movie. Comic script and action at its best.

A remastered version is cool!! But I'm not wasting my money on that, I'm too short on cash.

Wow nothing left to release on blu ray now.

So they just re-release "special editions" or "unrated editions" with 2 minutes of exclusive footage!

Blu ray sucks. Wait for an affordable dual format player.

you suck. your mom's an affordable dual format player!

by fiberwire - 2007-07-16 08:02
» why?

why does bluray suck just because there are re-released movies? is that not the case with DVD? there are plenty of movies that were ported from VHS to DVD and resold to the public, so maybe you should just shut up before you make yourself look like an idiot.

also, if there are dual format discs, and there is an HD-DVD side and a BD side, where does the label go? on the inside ring? that's a terrible idea. i think they should just let HD-DVD die.

im not sure if "ported" is the right word for it, but movies that were on VHS were resold on DVDs.
