Christmas is a little over a week away and if you could use a couple of gift ideas for a couple more people, then you might want to look over the list of titles on Blu-ray for the next two weeks (December 17 to December 30, 2007).
There's something for everybody: Shakira's Oral Fixation Tour for your audiophile friend, a wholesome family film for the tots and kids, Rush Hour 3, plus Blade Runner for the action buffs, some classic MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) in That's Entertainment! for the older folks, and The Simpsons Movie for plain laugh out loud fun with friends and/or family. Let's take a closer look at some of the releases for this week and the next for your Blu-ray home entertainment systems.
Next up comes Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. If you're being chased by a network of powerful machines called Skynet, you'd want to disappear from the grid too. John Connor, after the events of Terminator 2, has been living under the systems' radar as a precaution. But really, one can only do so much right?
In case you haven't heard of the Spanish language film Pan's Labyrinth, it's a dark fantasy set on the wake of the Spanish Civil War. In the face of various cruelties, Ofelia (the film's heroine) escapes to her fantasy world. What would you do when reality and fantasy start mixing?
