Welcome to this week's edition of On Blu-ray This Week! We've got another nice bunch of high-definition releases to kick the month off and we couldn't be more excited to tell you about it.

Leading the charge this week is the sci-fi movie series that your mom might mistake to be Starcraft's silver screen rendition. We're talking about the space bug-blasting Starship Troopers. This cool sci-fi trifecta of movies will have you dazzled by digitized creepies and mind-numbing effects. Join Col. Rico and his gang of space marines as they try to fend off the onslaught of intergalactic anthropoids.

You've already seen The Dark Knight, in all probability. What you may have missed out on could be the story of how Bruce Wayne took on the role of Gotham City's Caped Crusade in Batman Begins. Here you can relive the super hero's younger days and discover what molded him to be the crime-busting phenom that he is.

If you're in the mood for more listening and less watching, concerts are in good supply and they're coming in extremes. Listen easy to tenor Andrea Bocelli as he belts out the elegant classics, or enter the flip side and be drawn into Korn's cerebral and heavy tunes.

For the rest of this week's Blu-ray releases, check out this list below:
  • Starship Troopers
  • Lonesome Dove: Collector's Edition
  • Starship Troopers 1-3
  • Wild China
  • Nim's Island
