The boy on the famous N64 video that has been circulating in YouTube has stepped up and claimed his place. Brandon Kuzma is the kid on the video showing a boy and a girl who are still in their pajamas, opening presents on Christmas morning. During an the interview with DSmeet.com, Kuzma said that the video was first posted on his personal website he made after his insistent girlfriend said that it was funny. Then after posting it to a skateboard filming/editing/photo forum site, someone must have ripped it off and posted it in YouTube. The N64 video became so popular that the image of the kid with the new Nintendo sixty-four and Nintendo sixty-four car was immortalized.

Now that the kid is grown up, he is now auctioning the N64 on Ebay. He claims that he is not really a gamer since he spends his time filming skateboarding and short films, editing, working on his website, skateboarding and being with his girlfriend although he said that he plays 007 Golden Eye once in a while.

We watched the video from YouTube and it is indeed funny, especially the boy's reaction upon seeing the N64. See for yourself! We wonder if kids today would have the same reaction upon getting a Wii on Christmas day.

I saw it before and funny is that the many kids will discard those boxes away and play it right away. The consoles will be in bad shape anyway. It is not good for kids to my opinion. :)

» wow

That kid has to have some kind of disorder surely, some form of Aspergers or probably Bipolar Disorder... no normal person would get that excited over anything... especialy a N64

» Chill out

Chill out the kid was like 8 or 9 he was excited.

LMAO thats my first tim eseeing that that was absolutely hilarious.

» I thought...

... the kid was a little psycho, but yeah he sure was excited.

This reminds of the time I bought my Dad (Who was about 56 or so at the time) an N64 for christmas. He didn't have any money to buy one, so when he saw it he burst into tears. He now has a Gamecube and we swap games regularly.

He's 65 and retired now, and I'll be getting him a Wii ;)

» N64!!!

Dan I feel sorry for you. You've never gotten that excited as a kid over anything? You must've had a dull childhood. When I saw that video it reminded me of how excited I got over awesome Christmas presents - especially game systems. That reaction would be completely normal in my household. Bipolar Disorder? Give me a break.

Just because kids dont't act as immature as you doesnt mean that there is something wrong with them.

» Hahaha

Back when that was fresh, that was hilarious video. It's now just an oldie-but-goodie, safely tucked into the anals of gaming history.

I sort of wonder if gaming will ever get "as exciting" as when we were children ourselves. I don't know if videogames will be met with as much laud like the N64 was. I don't know what it is, but back then, N64 was something special for kids, myself included.

For a long time, I only had an NES, and while we played that to death, my brother and I really wanted an SNES but could never afford one (since we were kids) and we got tired of asking our parents. So when the N64 came bundled under the tree, we didn't quite go "psycho" like Kuzma, but there was surely a deep welling of excitement.

Boy isn't THAT embarrassing.

but i grew on it, too bad i got a ps1 2 weeks later, so i kinda tucked it away.

» all that is wrong in western culture

I would say that this scary video encapsulates all the things that are wrong in this western culture. consumerism and materialistic needs; product fetishes, and instant gratification. poor kids...

by Nameless - 2006-08-10 17:44
» Western culture?

I can understand the "instant gratification" complaint, as I too believe that to be a problem with western culture.

But is it a SIN to enjoy a product? Is this a foretelling of destructive behavior? Now that we've seen him act this way, does he have NO CHOICE but to be a twisted by-product of society?

"Hmm?", I think you might be reading a little to far into this video, something that exists purely for its light humor about the satisfation of receiving an N64 for Christmas.

Nothing more, nothing less.

by Vietone - 2006-08-11 01:33
» I was the same

I acted the same way when I opened my SNES bundled with Super Mario brothers. Screaming in excitement isnt anything new when you young. These days kids get this kind of stuff at a younger age, so they really lose that first time excitement at an age where they really dont know what it is.

Imagine a kid who never had a chance to own a console. When hes 8-9 on christmas he opens a nintendo Wii console. How happy and excited do you think he would be?

» He pwns

You think this is funny? He stars in many shorts on ytmnd.com, my fav is http://nintendosupremacy.ytmnd.com/

» It may be in poor taste now that the guy's identified himself...

...but what about his sister who very inappropriately rubs herself all over the box? I'm amazed nobody's mentioned this here.

» Class

That will definitely always be a classic. I was nearly that exstatic when I got my N64 when I was 7. ;)

by SeikenZ - 2006-08-11 05:32

Excited sure, although I never screamed like that kid does

I don't know anything 'bout his circumstances though hehe

Wow, it just goes to show that a funny little n64 kid can grow up to be a skater *****. Too bad.
