Online shopping's as fun as it is abundant. And while you can get just about anything online, there's always going to be a recurring favorite. Nearby Network has just announced that they've finished tallying up the results from their BidNearby site, which help guys scope out the best deals in their area. With roughly 2.5 million users visiting the site last month, Nearby Network announced their current top 10 most sought-after items online:

1. Sony PlayStation 3sleek PS3
2. TMX Tickle Me Elmo
3. Nissan Maxima
4. Nintendo Wii
5. Boondock Saints movie merchandise
6. Subaru WRX
7. Xbox 360
9. Apple iPods
9. Suzuki GSXR
10. Computers

There you have it. The PS3 (once again) tops this particular must-have list, trailed along by the cute (and sometimes freaky) TMX Tickle Me Elmo animatronic doll. The Wii's coming in at 4th, with the well-established Xbox 360 at 7th. For more details on how their site works (it covers retailers like eBay, Amazon, CraigÂ’s List, Best Buy, Target), check out the read link.

» Surprising...

Word is demand is slowing down and availability is on the increase. Check out eBay you can easily pick up a PS3 for close to retail price. I think once people see how much the PS3 is they forget about it.

» Demand isnt slowing down

Supply is going up, its basic economics.

Sony was able to ship and sell nearly 1 million in a months time after Nov 17th.

Because they were smart and shipped PS3s weekly the supply was always existing and therefore the prices on eBay dropped to retail because people can still have a chance to walk into a store and pick up a PS3.

The Xbox360 was high in demand and low in supply for over 2 months, this caused eBay prices to be steadily on the high even 2 months after launched. But once supply issues were resolved, then the price dropped.
