Motus Darwin - Image 1We've seen a bunch of Wii Remote hacks which enable it to work for PCs and do some crazy stuff, but now the business community has taken notice and they're prepping up a commercial version.

An outfit called Motus has introduced the new motion-sensing controller called Darwin for the PC and it boasts some improvements from Nintendo's innovative product.

The Darwin was patterned after an existing motion-sensing golf club controller called the iClub. It's been redesigned to be as versatile as the Wiimote, but instead of accelerometers inside, it uses gyroscopes to detect movement. That way, it's more accurate with data feeds and it eliminates the need for a sensor bar.

It remains to be seen whether the Darwin can capture a market similar to what the Wiimote has throughout its run. We'll keep you posted for more updates on this interesting new accessory.
