Microsoft has announced the release of the Xbox 360 HD DVD emulator, which imitates the behavior of HD DVD content in a virtual environment first before actually having to burn the data, allowing more efficient testing and troubleshooting of content and lower development costs.

The emulator would help prevent having to burn the disc just to check any errors and to see how it would look. It's much more efficient and helps to ensure error-free discs. The software also emulates encoded video and HDi interactivity.

this is for....

those people that are new to video authoring on PC. nero and every other video authoring products can do similar things for general purpose, but not specifically for xbox 360. anyways good to see MS is supporting its Xbox 360 HD DVD community.
